Our History

Accordingly, a group of Masons resident in the Vale of York agreed to form a Lodge in Easingwold called the Forest of Galtres Lodge. This Lodge was set up to reflect the changing openness in Freemasonry by meeting in a community building and promoting the precepts of Family, Fellowship and Fun whilst retaining the traditions of older Lodges.
It was duly consecrated in November 1991 at the Galtres Centre in Easingwold, where it has met continually ever since.
