Presentation to Easingwold Tourist Office

Forest of Galtres Lodge was delighted to make a presentation of £500 to the Easingwold Tourist Office recently.

The Tourist Office is facing greatly increased fuel costs and an unscheduled repair to the roof and relies entirely on donations received from second hand books and jigsaw sales. They do not receive any financial support from other sources and are proud to offer a service to visitors and to offer a welcoming workplace to combat loneliness.

Kate Buckby,Tourist Office Manager, said:

"We are extremely grateful to Forest of Galtres Lodge for helping support us. We need some financial support simply to cover the increased annual costs, which for electricity are unsustainable. We are determined to keep open unlike many Tourist Offices in North Yorkshire. Your donation will help us cover part of our bills, through these challenging times."
